Audi has brought out a teaser for its Q8 facelift which will debut soon in India. The Q8 is a flagship SUV which would be positioned above the Q7. The Q8 in its facelift form returns and looks shaper now with cosmetic tweaks.

Powertrain

Powering the India-bound Q8 facelift is a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, turbocharged engine producing 340PS and 500Nm of torque. This motor benefits from 48V mild hybrid functionality. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel-drive. The SUV can hit 100kmph in 5.6 seconds and provides a top speed of 250kmph.

The grille now also comes in black and with a new grille surround while there are new HD Matrix LED headlamps too. The intakes at the side are bigger now which gives it a much more aggressive look. The Q8 has always been a good-looking SUV but now it is even better.

At the rear meanwhile you get new OLED tail-lamps and a new signature pattern while there are new alloys as well. Of course, there is the new 2D Audi logo too. Inside, the trim has been updated for the Q8 and the same goes for the digital instrument cluster. We can expect new colour schemes and upholstery used on the inside.

Design & Interior

The updated India-spec Q8 will be available in a choice of eight colour options, namely: Sakhir Gold, Waitomo Blue, Mythos Black, Samurai Grey, Glacier White, Satellite Silver, Tamarind Brown, and Vicuna Beige. Key exterior highlights include redesigned frame, updated headlights, daytime driving lights with animations, new bumpers, new OLED taillights with animations, new 2D logo, and five distinctive wheel designs with sizes ranging from 21 to 23 inches. The rear lights of the Q8 facelift are turned on automatically if vehicles come within 2 metres of its range from behind when stationary. Inside, the interior layout of the Q8 facelift closely resembles its predecessor, except for new upholstery and colour themes. The interior of the India-bound model will be offered in four themes: Okapi Brown, Saiga Beige, Black, and Pando Grey.

Features

The feature list is quite long too, including a four zone climate control system, head-up display, twin touchscreens, heated and ventilated seats, Bang & Olufsen audio system and a lot more. The engine of the new Q8 would continue to be the petrol V6 which is a 3.0-litre unit with a mild hybrid system. Standard would be of course the Quattro system and the 8-speed automatic gearbox. We can expect power to be around 340 bhp.

Audi offers it with a 360deg camera, lane changing monitor, a panoramic sunroof, updated MMI system, support to new Amazon Music and Spotify apps, four-zone temperature control, heads-up display, a Bang & Olufsen sound system.
