- It is an Umbrella Program initiated by Dept. of Science and Technology
- Initiated For cultivating knowledge based innovations and ideas driven by technology into successful startups.
- To carry out fresh projects Rs. 500 Crore has been pledged.
- To genrate new possibilites for job and wealth creation.
Components of NIDHI
- PRAYAS started on 2nd Sep 2016
- Grants upto 10Lac admission to fabrication lab.
- Backs innovators to create prototype of their startups.
- Following are major parts of NIDHI Program :
GCC – Grand Challenge & Competition for Scouting innovations
EIR – Entreprenuer in Residence
TBI – Technology Business Incubator – This works as an accelerator for the innovations.
SSI – Seed Support System – It offers upto 1 crore for startups.
CoE – Center of Excellence – It helps the startups to go global
