Dholera SIR Update :
Soon, one can stay in a five-star hotel in Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) as the government has decided to assign a massive 12,095 square metre plot for the purpose. The e-auction of the plot will be held on June 8.
This would be the first plot allotted for the hospitality industry in the region, which has become a key location for business and urban development. Dholera SIR is one of the chief projects of the government aimed at attracting national and international investments.
Tourist Spots near Dholera;
“Dholera is surrounded by some unique tourist places like Velavadar Black Buck National Park, Lothal, Vallabhi Ancient Buddhist University and several religious places like Palitana, Jain Tirth Temple, Sarangpur Hanuman Temple. These places receive a large number of tourists from Gujarat and India,” said a senior official of Dholera SIR.
The region will also have a canal front and sports complexes.
He added, “228 acres of land have been dedicated to tourism and recreational activities in the SIR region. This will also help to generate jobs.”
Dholera will have a greenfield international airport, and infrastructure is being developed at a fast pace. It includes 72 km of four-lane road with cycle track, a 6 km long canal front, and other facilities.
The base rate of the plot has been kept at Rs 4,125 per square metre and the government expects a good response from the e-auction.
The total area of the greenfield smart city is 920 sq km and it will be developed in three phases. The work on Phase-1 is nearing completion and the hotel will be a part of this phase.
“With many national and multinational companies setting up shops in SIR, there was a demand for a good hotel,” the official said
