Aston Martin has launched the 2024 Vantage in India, with prices starting from Rs 3.99 crore, ex-showroom, before the customisation options kick in. The updated model features a sharper and more muscular design, staying true to its iconic look with mild upgrades. Deliveries for this high-performance sports car are set to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The most noticeable change on the exterior of the 2024 Vantage is its revamped front fascia. It features a significantly larger front grille, giving the car a bolder and more aggressive look. The side intakes have also been updated, adding to the Vantage’s striking look. Besides that, the headlights now include new three-piece LED DRLs, which are bigger and more rounded than those on the previous model. At the back, the redesigned bumper and diffuser contribute to a more assertive stance.
Aston Martin Vantage: Engine and performance
Under the hood, the new Vantage houses a hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. This ‘heavily reworked’ powerhouse now delivers 665 hp of power and 800 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, sending power to the rear wheels. The power & torque of the vehicle have made the biggest-ever jump with a 155 hp, 115 Nm bump over its predecessor. Aston Martin claims the Vantage can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 325 kmph.
This marks a significant improvement over the previous V8 version, which needed half a second longer to reach 100 kph from a standstill and had a top speed of 313 kmph.
Aston Martin Vantage: Cabin and features
Inside, the Vantage borrows design cues from the DB12, featuring a new dashboard layout with modern elements and physical controls for key functions. The cabin features sleek AC vents, sporty bucket seats, and yellow stitching on the doors. Besides that, the Vantage comes equipped with other key features, including twin 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, and a 15-speaker Bowers and Wilkins audio system. Other notable features include 3D live mapping, wireless smartphone mirroring, connected car technology, and an ADAS suite that offers forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, and more.
