Mission Indradhanush
- Health mission of Govt. of India.
- Launched by Union Health minister J.P. Nadda on 25 December 2014.
- Seeks to drive the mission of 90% full immunization coverage in India and sustain the same by 2020.
- Vaccination is being provided against 8 vaccine preventable diseases : Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, Tetanus, Polio, Measles, TB, Hepatitis B, Meningitis and Pneumonia.
- Ultimate goal is to ensure full immunization for children up to 2 years of age and pregnant women.
- To further intensify immunization program PM Modi launched Intensified Mission Indradhanush on 8 Oct. 2017.
- Further Dr. Harsh Vardhan introduced Intensified Mission Indradhanush 2.0 on Dec. 2019.
