The new Skoda Kodiaq facelift has been spotted testing in India again, and there is no doubt that the carmaker is planning to launch the updated version soon. The spied Kodiaq has also revealed its engine specifications ahead of its official launch in India.

There is no doubt that Skoda will give the Kodiaq a capable engine. The spied Skoda SUV was seen wearing a little badge with its engine and variant. This also hints at the probability of Skoda launching a choice of trims in India.

The SUV seen testing says “Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 TSI AT Sport-Line”. This clearly says that the engine on the upcoming Kodiaq will be a 2.0-litre turbo petrol unit. The same engine in its current state makes 187bhp and 320Nm of peak torque. Again, as the sticker suggests, the engine will be mated to a seven-speed DSG gearbox.

Along with that, the new Skoda Kodiaq will feature an updated design as well, with a new split headlight at the front, redesigned front and rear bumpers, a new alloy wheel design, and sleeker tail lamps. Inside, the Kodiaq will get a dual-tone theme, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, ADAS, and more.

The new Skoda Kodiaq is expected to be launched in India early next year and when launched, it will compete with the new Nissan X-Trail, which is also sold as a CBU.
